First-Year Regional Campus Student Requirements

All seven of 性福五月天鈥檚 Regional Campuses are accessible to students who hold a high school diploma or GED. In addition, some areas of study have additional academic program requirements. There are different admissions criteria and requirements for Kent Campus.

Admissions Criteria & Requirements

To apply to 性福五月天 as a first-year applicant, you should:

  • Be in your senior year of high school OR hold a high school diploma, GED or equivalent degree.
  • Never have enrolled at a college or university after graduating from high school.
  • Apply for admission using the 性福五月天 application.

Transcripts

What We Look For 

Your official transcripts provide us with a lot of information to help us make admissions decisions, such as your cumulative grade point average (GPA), the type of classes you took, the difficulty of those classes, trends in your grades, etc.

The full college preparatory curriculum as recommended by the Ohio State Board of Education consists of the following:

  • 4 units of English (emphasis on composition)
  • 4 units of mathematics (Algebra I, II, Geometry, with minimum Algebra II complete)
  • 3 units of science
  • 3 units of social studies
  • 2 units of foreign language
  • 1 unit of the arts or an additional unit of a foreign language

How To Send Us Your Transcript 

To complete your application, ask your high school (or the school you graduated from) to send an official transcript directly to 性福五月天 University.

If you are currently in high school, your transcript should include at least three years of coursework. If any years are missing, ask your school to include a written explanation.

Sending Your Transcript

性福五月天 only accepts official transcripts sent directly from the school that issued them.

Preferred Methods:

  • Electronic transcripts through services such as Common App, Parchment or Slate.org.

  • Email from a school official using their school email account to transcripts@kent.edu.

Schools may also send transcripts by mail in a sealed envelope to:

GED and High School Equivalency Credentials

If you earned a GED, HiSET or another high school equivalency diploma, ask the testing agency or state office that issued your credentials to send your official scores directly to 性福五月天.

Homeschooled Students

If you are homeschooled, please follow the document submission instructions in the homeschooled students section.

International Transcripts

If you attended high school outside of the United States, you may upload a copy of your official transcript to your admissions portal. If it isn't in English, please include an official translation. If you are admitted, you must present your final official transcript and diploma to the International Admissions Office for verification.

Note: Transcripts from U.S. schools must always be sent directly from the issuing school.

Test Scores (Optional)

性福五月天 University is test-optional, meaning students applying for first-year or transfer admission are not required to submit standardized test scores (ACT and/or SAT).

On the 性福五月天 Application, you will be asked if you want your test scores to be considered with your application. If you select Yes, we will review your application when test scores and other requirements are received. If you select No, your application will be reviewed once all other application requirements are fulfilled. If you choose to use test scores and your application completes without them, we may choose to review your application under our test-optional policy.

Please note: Once an applicant indicates whether or not test scores will be submitted, this decision cannot be changed by the applicant online. If you wish to change your test score preference, please contact our office as soon as possible to indicate if you would or would not like your test scores to be considered for admission.

Additional Information

Homeschooled Students

性福五月天 University welcomes applications from homeschooled students who complete a program of study that covers the material in the  recommended by the Ohio State Board of Education.

性福五月天 defines a homeschooled applicant as someone whose schooling has been or will be completed in a home or other non-institutional setting by a parent or other adult. Applicants who have graduated or are graduating from a chartered or private online school or consortium are not considered homeschooled.

First-Year and College Credit Plus (CCP) homeschooled applicants to 性福五月天 should provide a typed transcript that includes the following:

  • The name and address of the student
  • The name and address of the homeschool location
  • All courses taken and corresponding grades received
  • A cumulative grade point average (GPA) for all courses taken
  • The handwritten signature of the parent or homeschool administrator
  • The date of transcript generation
  • The date of graduation, once achieved

If the applicant took courses through a consortium, college, chartered or private school, an official transcript must be sent directly to 性福五月天 University from that institution, as well. The policy on Official Transcript Submission can be found within the policy on .

Homeschooled applicants who attend college after their high school diploma conferral are Transfer applicants and must supply official transcripts from all colleges attended. A transcript of homeschool curriculum is required when less than twelve credit hours are achieved at the college level. The policy on Transfer Applicants can be found within the policy on .

Homeschooled applicants from the state of Ohio should also provide their most recent acknowledgement of homeschooled status from their local school district. Non-Ohio students should submit appropriate supporting documents as required by their home state.

Homeschool transcripts and school district acknowledgements can be provided through the  as Homeschool Transcript Portfolio and Acknowledgement from District Superintendent, respectively.

Deferred Admission

The Admissions Office at the Kent Campus may defer the admission of students who do not meet admissions criteria but who show areas of promise for successful college study. Deferred applicants may begin their college coursework at one of seven Regional Campuses of 性福五月天 University. The Admissions Office at the Kent Campus will forward the student's application materials to a Regional Campus at the student's request.

Cost of Attendance Information

Please be aware that the full cost of attendance consists of tuition and fees, as well as food and housing (if living on the Kent Campus), books, course materials, supplies and equipment, transportation and personal expenses. 

The expenses directly owed to 性福五月天 University include tuition and fees. For students living on the Kent Campus, this also includes housing and meal costs. For commuter students who purchase a meal plan, it includes the cost of that plan. Other expenses not included in the tuition and fees totals can be found on our cost of attendance webpage.
