For one day each year, ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University at Ashtabula transforms Robert S. Morrison Hall into Flash Medical Center, an immersive healthcare simulation that gives area high school students a firsthand look at the fast-paced world of patient care.

Participants begin their experience with a hospital orientation before stepping into the role of healthcare professionals. Working together as a clinical team, students assess, diagnose, and help treat a patient following a simulated accident.

Through engaging, hands-on activities, students explore how professionals in Medical Assisting, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Respiratory Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant and Social Work collaborate to deliver quality patient care. Along the way, they develop critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills while experiencing the vital role each discipline plays in the healthcare system.
