How far in advance do I need to ask for the President to attend?
As far in advance as possible, as the President’s schedule fills months in advance. There is a minimum of four weeks.
Will we have to do anything special if the President attends an event or meeting?
Yes, there are additional steps that must be taken if the President attends, including Presidential Briefings, Presidential Bios (on attendees), a review of seating, run of show and remarks. A reserved parking space should be secured.

Key Considerations
- The attendance of the President at an event or interaction requires a high level of coordination and preparation. Please ensure there is a contact person in the unit who can be the main liaison for DPAE and the Office of the President.
- Once approved, a Presidential briefing and bio are required if the President is attending an event.
