Rylie Moore, a junior majoring in Early Childhood Education, has been a devoted member of 性福五月天 Recreation and Wellness Services since her first year. She has since grown into her role as an Intramural Sports Supervisor. Looking back, Rylie shares that she was unaware of what to expect upon her arrival, but what she found was a community that was open, accepting, and welcoming.
Rylie has learned a great deal about herself throughout her time with RecWell, both professionally and personally. Her favorite parts of the job have been meeting new people, building meaningful connections, and working alongside her friends. The relationships she鈥檚 formed have made her experience in the department especially rewarding and have helped shape her confidence and sense of belonging on campus.
RecWell has played a vital role in supporting Rylie鈥檚 academic success. She can be flexible in her position, which allows her to learn how to balance work and school effectively 鈥 an ability that has contributed to her earning a spot on the Dean鈥檚 List 2025-26. As an Intramural Sports Supervisor, she has fostered strong time management skills while juggling multiple responsibilities. She says that through her role, she has grown more confident to carry her dedication into her future classroom.
During her time at Recreation and Wellness Services, Rylie has grown in maturity, patience, and respect, proving she has the qualities of a proficient leader. Learning to trust her skills and step into leadership with assurance, she has become more hardworking as an employee and colleague. One of Rylie鈥檚 most meaningful moments came near the end of the year, when a conversation with a manager highlighted how well the officials she supervised were performing. Realizing her efforts in guidance and support for her staff as they were successful, just as she guided herself, she was reaffirmed that her impact as a supervisor reflected positively.
When asked what advice she鈥檇 give to a new member of the Intramural Sports staff, Rylie offers the same advice she鈥檇 given herself upon her arrival: 鈥淲hile it can be intimidating, and a lot of pressure that comes with the position, walk with confidence.鈥 For Rylie, she kept her head up as she came to find out that the people around her had been immensely supportive and continued to have her back during her journey to a supervisor.
Rylie credits her supervisor, Liberty Prosser, for her attitude. She describes her as prepared, bubbly, inclusive, and always willing to check in on her staff. Her leadership style motivates Rylie to offer the same nurturing presence for those she supervises.
Outside of work and academics, Rylie is a huge Marvel movie fan 鈥揳 fun fact that highlights her character and enthusiasm.
