A new exhibition pairing fashion from ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University Museum's collection with ornithological specimens from the opened Wednesday — Earth Day — at the Cleveland museum, where it will remain on view through Oct. 11.
"Fashion & Feather" brings together feather-adorned garments, accessories, taxidermy mounts and cultural objects, organized by species — including peacocks, ostriches, kingfishers and roosters — to explore how feathers function in nature and how humans have adapted them for ornamentation and design. The exhibition is presented in the museum's Visitor Hall, a free community gathering space, with additional student-designed works on display in Corning Gallery, accessible with general admission.
