Originally from Riverland, Australia, �Ը������� University punter Jake Stoeckel, a first-year exercise science major, made his American football debut at the start of this season. 

�Ը������� University’s College of the Arts, in collaboration with the College of Architecture and Environmental Design, proudly welcomes back Oscar, Tony and Emmy Award–winning costume designer Paul Tazewell for the 2025–2026 Thomas Schroth Visiting Artist Series. 

A dancer from the age of four, Spigelmire knew she wanted to incorporate her love of dance with her desire to be an entrepreneur.  And now, Spigelmire is living the dream of owning her own dance studio, The Vibe Dance Company. Spigelmire of Stow not only opened her studio, but she also hired four �Ը������� students, some of whom she attended dance programs with as a child, to teach at the dance studio.

When the September 11 attacks shook the nation, �Ը������� alumnus D. Mark Jones found himself called into an unfamiliar and deeply challenging role.

Senior Nick Brocato and sophomore Tamera Owens were among the 172 undergraduate �Ը������� students who participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) during the summer of 2025. Like mother, like daughter. Meet Christine Woo, Ph.D, and Nathalie Nicol, BSPH – mother and daughter - both graduates of the �Ը������� University College of Public Health. While Woo was completing her doctorate in 2022, Nicol was just starting her journey at �Ը�������. 

The �Ը������� University Aeronautics & Engineering Expo at the �Ը������� University Airport received a special visitor as Goodyear's retro-painted Wingfoot One aircraft returned to the place where the company's first blimp was christened, 100 years ago.

�Ը������� University hosted its annual Aeronautics and Engineering Expo on Saturday at �Ը������� University Airport, drawing families for a day of aviation excitement and STEM education.

The �Ը������� University Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, in the Kent Student Center, Room 306. The Board will consider the recommendations of the standing committees, proposed personnel actions and new business. 

Meet LaTaesia Snyder, a junior criminology and justice studies major with a minor in pre-law from Akron, Ohio, who’s making the most of her opportunities to learn about the American justice system.
