EMAT Faculty Wins Distinguished Teaching Award

Richard Ferdig helped create the digital sciences program, which is now the School of Emerging Media and Technology. Six years after the program was started, a graduating doctoral student gave Ferdig a hug and warm greetings. It was at that moment he realized he had that student as a freshman in their first emerging media class.

From 1941: Former ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì President – KIDNAPPED!

In 1941, a writing exercise for high school journalists visiting ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì was centered around a fictional kidnapping of the university's first president, John E. McGilvrey. In a pre-internet version of a "home page takeover," the stories ran on the front page of the ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌìr - without including information revealing that they were not real!
